Weird how time slips away, isn't it?  Suddenly you turn around and it's eleven years later.  Things never stay the same.  That's something my Daddy has always told me.  I never really understood that until one Wednesday afternoon when I was in 9th grade.   Pardon me if this post is choppy, but it's something that I can't recall without reliving it.  I am already crying. I remember everything so vividly.  It was just a normal day - just a normal day.  Gosh, I wish it would've just been a normal day.  We went to and from class all morning.  We were all so innocent.  Smiling, laughing.  Having a great time.  Lunch came and went.  Fifth period started.  I, personally, was sitting in Mrs. Dardenne's room wondering where the heck she was because believe me, something had to be wrong for Mrs. Dardenne to be late to class.  I'm sure many of my peers were also wondering why there was suddenly a feeling of something...

My Silly Little Woman...

I was just sitting here thinking about how extremely silly and sweet my little woman is.  I was scanning back through some of my Facebook posts from days past, and thought I would share some of my favorites about Kylie Maye :-D  Let's start from the beginning... I am still 1-2cm dilated and about 75% effaced. The doc wants induce on May 2nd if she hasn't arrived before then :-D God is good :) I've now got all my finals scheduled to take next week. Now only if I can make it to Friday..... :) alright...2 cm dilated now, 75% effaced...so, why not have a baby on Saturday?? :) 7:30am...let the good times roll.... :-D Kylie Maye Bullock: born May 2nd, 11:23pm, 8lbs 9oz, 19 1/2 inches long :-) We are now home and doing great! My Refuge

I knew it was supposed to storm today, but I guess I just didn't know that it was as big a deal as it was.  See, we don't have conventional TV in that we don't have cable and can barely pick up channel 42 on the antenna, which doesn't really have news anyway.  I would just listen to my car radio on the way to clinic, but it doesn't exactly work.  It died quite some time ago.  So, every morning I call weather woman/traffic reporter Jan - better known as my Momma :) This morning was no different.  She told me that the storm was supposed to hit about the time I got off work.  Great.  My car leaks water because ... well, it's a piece.  Haha.  But, for real.  It is.  When my Daddy first got it for me he said, "Just think of the possibilities."  It is a '97 Cavalier, but I like to call it the Sunvalier because it has a Pontiac Sunfire spoiler on it.  It makes it look very unique.  Also, it's a repo with 7 bullet holes i...

Smiley Kylie :-D

Kylie is a pretty big fan of the outdoors.  She's always asking to go "ou-tide".  This past weekend we got the opportunity to take her down by the river to Toad Suck Park!  She was just a little bit excited to be there... I just love watching the excitement on her face.  She is thrilled by everything.  From exploring new territory to picking up grass or rocks, she loves it.  Toby's Mom and Dad, known to Kylie as "Ma" and "Pa", got to come with us.  I think it's rather funny that she calls them Ma and Pa.  We called them Grandma and Grandpa.  I guess she made the executive decision to shorten their names up a bit.   It's so sweet to watch them playing with Kylie.   Playing with some random rocks :) She's a climber! Out of all the toys on the playground.  I'm positive that her favorite was the swing.  She couldn't get enough of it.  "More, more!" I think Toby was having just as much fun as she was :) My sw...

With the Old Breed...

I love my patients.  I honestly do.  Talking to them about their life while getting them up and moving is just so wonderful.  I enjoy the conversations almost as much as the outcomes that my patients have.  I hate to pick favorites, but one particular gentleman that I recently had the privilege to work with quickly earned my favor.   We'll call him Mr. Awesome (because he truly was).  The first day I saw Mr. Awesome he was very wild and almost combative.  He was in his late 80's and had kinda gone down hill in the past few weeks.   He wasn't really 'with it' either.  Needless to say, he was not a favorite of the hospital staff, and I didn't know what to make of him just yet, either.   That week passed, and not much changed.  Sometimes he would open his eyes, but most of the time he just grimaced as I moved him through passive range.  Even though I couldn't tell if he was able to comprehend, I'd talk to him all the same. ...

Loving Life!

I love how my life is somewhat ordinary, but at the same time it is so extraordinary.  It's really the simple things in life that make it so great.  I just wanted to share a few of the simple things in life that I love: Toby hugs. Hearing Kylie say "sorry" :)  It sounds so cute and country when she says it. Talking to my Momma on the way to work everyday. Taking time to listen to my patients' stories, and really showing them that I care. Cooking with Kylie. Carnation Instant Breakfast. Memorizing Bible verses while I'm stuck in traffic :) Putting pictures on Facebook - I think most of you know that I love doing that.  Haha. Hearing my Daddy call me "Paige Marie Henry" Talking with my Paw-Paw about the good 'ol days. Playing the piano and jamming out with friends is always a plus. Watching Kylie dance/gallop in place.  It's adorable. Running to the front door with Kylie to surprise Toby when he gets home from work. Calls from old fri...

What Love Really Means

Sitting here without Toby on Valentine's Day.  He had to work tonight, but that's okay.  I'll sit here with my pint-sized Valentine, and we'll eat a Hershey's chocolate bar.  In the grand scheme of things, it's just another day.  I choose to show my love to Toby everyday, so why should Valentine's be any more special?  See guys, here's the thing.  I mean, there are times when the phrase,"I still love you, but that doesn't mean I have to like you right now" comes to mind.   But, in the end - I can love because Christ first loved me.  Oftentimes I've been told that I am a pushover.  I'm naive.  I'm going to get taken advantage of because I'm too nice.  I could go on, but I won't ;)   I've actually been told these things all my life.  Nevertheless, I can't help but look for the good in every person.  No matter how awful someone treats me, I always remember this truth.  God loves them.  Let me say that again....

Sunny Day! Sweeping the Clouds Away!

With the snow melting and the sun shining bright, I am reminiscing on a couple of Saturday's past.  Two weeks ago we were celebrating the random mid-70 degree weather by heading to Petit Jean Mountain.  It was a pretty spectacular little trip. We left later than expected, so I chose to drive since I drive a little faster than Toby ;).  Kylie was busting with excitement because I told her about the awesome waterfall that she'd get to see for the first time.  She couldn't wait to get there! We got off on the Morrilton exit and I started to turn to the right.  Toby insisted that we turn left, but I was almost positive that Petit Jean was to the right.  After all, I had done a Home Health clinical just a few months before.  We had driven all over this area - surely I knew where I was going.  So, I talked him into turning to the right.  We drove, and we drove.  We drove for almost 25 minutes.  I kept saying - "Oh, there it is! ...
