Savoring the moment

I always hear from other parents whilst telling them stories of Kylie ... "You better write that down because it's amazing how much you forget." So, here is my attempt at writing down some of Kylie's hilarious comments that occur randomly throughout the day.  Recording these special moments now may help us to savor them later when she's all grown up ... *tear*.  She is definitely our little comedian ;) Let's start with this morning.  I was up before her, and I suddenly hear her yelling in her sleep, "NO!  NOOOOO!!!"  So, naturally I run to her side to hold her, and she wakes up.  I ask if she's had a bad dream, and almost crying she replies, "Yeah.  Yeah, Mommy I did."  I prod further to see what the dream was about since it was fresh on her mind and she dramatically reports, "Daddy try eat my big yogurt!"  Hilarious.  I wish that was the worst I had to worry about. Another Lesson Learned in Mommy-hood :)

I'm sitting here with my little woman in my lap.  We just finished watching "Sid the Science Kid", her favorite show.  I looked down just now and found that my sweetie had fallen asleep leaning on a pillow.  She was propped up on her little elbow.  How sweet.  I thought to myself for a second, "What if I just left her like that?  She's bound to fall off her hand eventually ... haha, that'd be funny."  How mean am I?!  I mean, really - what mom thinks that?!  Of course, I didn't leave her like that.  It was just a passing thought.  She's now comfortably resting on my chest as I type this.  But, that triggered a funny story that happened this past weekend, so I felt obliged to share ;) As most of you know, it snowed this weekend.  Again.  It's supposed to snow even more tomorrow.  Snow.  Snow.  Snow.  But, fortunately, Kylie loves the snow, and so do I!  We decided to go explore the neighborho...

Sunny Day! Sweeping the Clouds Away!

With the snow melting and the sun shining bright, I am reminiscing on a couple of Saturday's past.  Two weeks ago we were celebrating the random mid-70 degree weather by heading to Petit Jean Mountain.  It was a pretty spectacular little trip. We left later than expected, so I chose to drive since I drive a little faster than Toby ;).  Kylie was busting with excitement because I told her about the awesome waterfall that she'd get to see for the first time.  She couldn't wait to get there! We got off on the Morrilton exit and I started to turn to the right.  Toby insisted that we turn left, but I was almost positive that Petit Jean was to the right.  After all, I had done a Home Health clinical just a few months before.  We had driven all over this area - surely I knew where I was going.  So, I talked him into turning to the right.  We drove, and we drove.  We drove for almost 25 minutes.  I kept saying - "Oh, there it is! ...
