EASTER!
How wonderful is it to serve a risen SAVIOR!! :) Who cares if this weekend didn't go as planned?? I can rejoice knowing that HE LIVES!
This weekend was supposed to be the big Bullock shindig, but with sickness plaguing the Bullock household, we all weren't able to head down to Prescott. So, Toby and I enacted Plan B :) Humnoke bound. Daddy said, "I guess we'll take sloppy seconds." Haha. He's so funny.
I was expecting this weekend to be quite dreary with rain and cloudiness, but I suppose that was the forecast for the northern part of the state because Humnoke was beautiful!
Kylie had a blast hanging out with GranJan and GranDaddy all weekend. However, she prefers to call them Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw. Well, she kinda calls both sets Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw. Maybe she'll differentiate between the two eventually :)
We pretty much stayed outside for most of the weekend. It was just so peaceful being outside in the sunshine enjoying the breeze and visiting family.
We dyed easter eggs and Kylie didn't spill the dye once. Can't say that for GranJan. She spilt the blue dye not once, but twice. I guess I get it from my Momma - clumsiness, that is.
While at home, I finally gave into Momma's nagging and sorted through my old closet. I took a little trip down nostalgia lane. I found stuff from elementary, jr. high, high school, and even early college. Trapper keepers, baby dolls, high top basketball shoes, wind suits, pictures, my 8th grade journal from English class, and even a graduation card that I had never opened (it even had money in it!). Good times. I probably had way too much fun going through an old closet.
Sunday afternoon, Daddy and Momma cooked a most delicious lunch and Uncle Robert, Aunt Vickie, and my Paw-Paw came down to eat with us. I must say - we ate good while we were at home.
Of course, Kylie had a blast. She was stinking awesome at finding easter eggs! She'd find one and say, "Where more?" There were a few tricky ones that she needed help with, but for the most part she rocked it out.

Here's typical Kylie - barefoot and loving it.

She loved doing this!
Kylie assumed that the dye was kool-aid. You should've seen her initial reaction. Hilarious.
She was so proud of her creations!
We had a wonderful Easter service at my home church, Rowes Chapel. It's always great to see all of my 'homefolk'. No matter where I go in life - Humnoke will always be home.

The hunt begins!
She even spotted the egg in the tree.
She had a little trouble with this one. Haha. Can you find the egg?
She was so proud that she found all the eggs.
We had a great weekend in general. I just wish that we could have spent some time with the Bullock's. Luckily, next weekend is Kylie's 2nd birthday party in Humnoke. We'll for sure get to see the Bullock Clan.
