Life as we know it :)

Our days here in Springfield are starting to become more and more routine.  So, I thought I would share a typical day in the life of the Bullock's since we've been here: I get up around 6ish to get ready to head to my clinic site, and try to be as sneaky as possible and not wake Kylie and Toby.  I grab a bite to eat, and run out the door for a full day of learning :-D Toby and Kylie of course sleep in.  When they finally roll out of slumber, they straighten up our little room, hand wash some dishes, eat lunch, have counting lessons, refresh our towels, work on memory games, get more toilet paper, play with blocks, make the bed, get the mail, go play outside, etc.  Pretty much they hang out all day and have a blast.   I get off work around 4:00pm and that's when the real fun begins :).  We typically head to the YMCA or one of Springfield's many city parks.  Today we went to a pool where you can get in with just a donation of a canned of food item a...

Kylie's bedtime routine :)

I was sitting here thinking over our time in Springfield and I wanted to share a little story about our rather complicated bedtime routine.   First things first.  Kylie Maye always has to have her milk before she goes to bed.  She's such a dairy girl.  Her main preference is that it has "choc" in it.  Believe me when I say, she doesn't let you "accidentally" forget the chocolate instant breakfast.  She cracks me up.  She'll ask for milk saying, "I milk", and before you can respond with, "Okay, sweetie", she throws in "with choc!"   After she has her milk with "choc", we lay down and cuddle as she attempts to play with my eyelashes.  She has done this since she was about two months old.  For some reason, playing with eyelashes helps her to sleep.  It's the oddest thing.  But, ever since she was 18 months old, we've been trying to break her of this.  Yet, she is the most stubborn little thing I've ever ...

Moving on Up :)

Well, we are here.  Good 'ol Springfield, MO.  We're a week into it as of yesterday.  And, you know ... it's not that bad!  Imagine?!  :)   The move went somewhat great.  Some might say I was a bit stressed out - maybe I was, but thank goodness it's over.  We had wonderful family and friends come to help - I love you guys.   It was a bittersweet goodbye, but Kylie was carefree with her Woody as she said bye-bye to her first house.   Bye-bye Southern Hills :'( Kylie holding all of our stuff down after the move :) The drive up was beautiful.  I drove my little car all the way there following close behind Toby and Kylie.  Unfortunately, I did not have an air conditioner, so I rode with my window down the whole way.    Despite my sweet husband's advice, I opted out of wearing sunscreen.  Needless to say, I am much tanner on my left side now - embarrassing.   We are settling right into Springfield. ...
